Because of the compassion clause, she could be qualified for release after serving her sentence of fifteen years. In a perfect world, she would be eligible for release starting on May 1, 2028. Rachel Shoaf, on the other hand, will be qualified for parole starting on May 1, 2023. She was detained at West Virginia’s Northern Regional Juvenile Detention Center prior to being transferred to the maximum-security facility (Lakin Correctional Centre).
